What’s Happening at Verona Hair:
Keezia went to Thailand!
Keezia had a whirlwind three-week adventure in Thailand! This being her first proper holiday since taking over ownership of the salon, it was absolutely a well-deserved break!
She managed to fit in so many amazing activities whilst in the exotic landscapes of Thailand, these included snuggling with Tigers in Patong; riding Elephants in Krabi and watching the beautiful sunrise on Phi Phi Island! The 9 day ‘Island Hopper Contiki Tour’ enabled Keezia to travel to the most exclusive parts of Thailand while meeting and getting to know some amazing new people. As much as Keezia enjoyed her holiday, she is extremely happy to be back at her beloved salon (and staff!).
Keezia – “It was an amazing and spiritual experience, especially when we were blessed by a Monk while dressed in the traditional dress chut thai” – at The Big Buddha
Invisible Serum is a perfect styling product for anyone wanting to achieve a smooth look. It leaves an anti-frizz result while giving flexible control, meaning it is an easy product! The serum also produces a light shine, while maintaining soft texture as you blowdry. It is great for our lovely clients who prefer a ‘no product’ feel!
Emily loves to use the Invisible Serum on her clients who have finer hair when she blowdries and styles, as it doesn’t leave the hair feeling tacky or stiff. We also use this product in salon to achieve light shine and sleekness to our low (and high) ponytails and bridal upstyles.
Style Trend: Low Ponytails
The low pony is making a comeback for 2015! Instead of a messy ‘thrown back’ look, it’s all about sleek and style in Hollywood this year.
The main key to a perfect low pony is to use a good shine product to eliminate fly aways. When it comes to ponytails, a good product to use is the Invisible Serum (as above). Apply the product in wet hair before blowdrying and straightening to achieve the sleekest possible look by eliminating fly-aways.
Then using a fine tooth comb to smooth back the hair into the tie. Hide the band by taking a small section of hair from underneath the ponytail and wrap around the hair band, secure with a bobby pin at the base of the pony!
The sleek look may not work for everyone, an alternative is to add volume and waves, like the lovely Kate Hudson has done.
